it may not be as apparent as we would think, for society perceives drugs as a negative aspect

everyone has a way to escape from reality
the difference is that some people do not realize it
people use movies, among other things, as an escape from reality
while others knowingly use drugs as an escape from reality
the difference is that people who watch movies come back to reality unknowingly and they do not realize that for a short time, they too get to leave behind their thoughts and frustrations and instead use minimum brain function in place of facing reality
those on drugs sometimes come back to reality when they do not wish to
